DASCNA
DASCNA is the Dayton Area Service Committee of Narcotics Anonymous. The purpose of this web site is to provide information to the public, professionals, and existing NA members about recovery in Narcotics Anonymous for Dayton OH and surrounding communities, including Xenia and Wilmington Ohio. Our message is hope and the promise of freedom [1]. If you think you may have a problem with drugs, we encourage you to attend one of our meetings in the Dayton, Ohio area. What is Narcotics Anonymous?
Narcotics Anonymous is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. We are not affiliated with any other organizations (12-step programs, treatment centers, or correctional facilities), fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions. NA has only one purpose: to provide an environment in which addicts can help one another stop using drugs and find a new way to live.
For The Newcomer
We suggest regular meeting attendance. Click here for our meeting schedule. The newcomer is the most important person at any meeting, because we can only keep what we have by giving it away. We have learned that those who keep coming to our meetings stay clean.
For Professionals
Narcotics Anonymous is a global, community-based organization with a multi-lingual and multicultural membership. NA was founded in 1953, and our membership growth was minimal during our initial twenty years as an organization. Since the publication of our Basic Text in 1983, the number of members and meetings has increased dramatically. Today [2], NA members hold more than 43,900 meetings weekly in 127 countries.
