The first and most important responsibility of any NA group—its “primary purpose,” according to the Fifth Tradition— “to carry the message to the addict who still suffers.” And the single most important thing a group can do to fulfil that primary purpose is to conduct meetings that provide a welcoming atmosphere in which NA recovery can be effectively shared between addicts. Be mindful that phone meeting are not a substitute for regular meeting attendance. They are only a supplement. There are a number of NA meetings you can listen and participate in Narcotics Anonymous meetings to over the phone.
